About the Position
The Service Manager - Libraries leads and manages the Library Services Unit to provide city wide services and programs across six libraries, with a team of circa 70 geographically dispersed staff. The position is accountable for developing strategic policy and direction, performance leadership, business planning, capital and operational project management to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services that meet current and emerging community needs.
It is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Redlands community, building on existing services and programs to deliver a modern, world class library experience to the region.
About the Person
You are an empathetic and collaborative leader, having developed your skills in similar customer-centric environments ideally with multiple geographic locations. You have an ability to see the big picture and organisational vision, and connect your team to the role they play in achieving it. Demonstrated achievements in managing strategic planning and delivery of community or customer services, in either the public or private sector will be highly regarded, as will high level project and change management experience with a continuous improvement mindset. A confident and adept communicator, you will have the ability to navigate and build rapport with diverse and complex stakeholders. Experience within the libraries space will be highly regarded but is not essential.
