Our client is a rapidly expanding national distributor experiencing significant growth across multiple states. With strong demand, new site openings and increasing operational complexity, they are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead multi-site fulfilment, drive efficiency, and ensure exceptional customer delivery performance.

This role is ideal for an operational leader who is comfortable being both hands-on in the warehouse and strategic across multiple locations. You’ll oversee small teams, uplift processes, streamline stock flow, and play a key role in improving national DIFOT and inventory accuracy.

The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of warehouse operations across several states, with a focus on building capability at the Melbourne site and supporting growing demand nationally. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing warehouse teams across multiple locations
• Managing end-to-end fulfilment, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch
• Reducing stock transfer inefficiencies and improving national stock flow
• Overseeing freight coordination, freight analysis and cost optimisation
• Ensuring strong inventory accuracy and operational reporting
• Standardising and improving warehouse procedures and safety practices
• Working closely with sales, procurement and logistics stakeholders
• Supporting future site expansion and operational projects
• Being hands-on when needed, including forklift operation and container unpacking

About You
You will thrive in a growing, fast-paced environment and be confident managing both daily operations and broader, multi-site performance. You will bring:

• Strong experience in warehouse or operations management across multiple sites
• Hands-on capability, including forklift licence and container experience
• Background working with freight providers and an understanding of freight cost structures
• Solid knowledge of inventory management and warehouse KPIs (e.g., DIFOT, stock accuracy)
• Experience improving processes, introducing structure and leading small teams
• Flexibility to travel between sites as required
• Exposure to systems such as Unleashed, WMS/ERP platforms or similar (advantageous)
