A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to take ownership of its current yard and play a key role in planning the transition to a professionally designed facility.
About the Role
You’ll manage a 2,000m² warehouse and 4,500m² yard, handling approx. 2,000 containers annually with imported windows and joinery. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work closely with a small team (4 people total), ensuring smooth operations and high standards of organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, dispatch
- Optimize space and layout for efficiency
- Manage inventory control and reporting
- Operate forklifts and assist with hands-on tasks when needed
- Coordinate logistics with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams
- Lead, train, and motivate staff while maintaining OHS compliance
- Prepare for future expansion and contribute to yard design planning
- Proven experience in warehouse or yard management
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle high-volume imports
- Hands-on approach with forklift experience
