System Engineer (Level 3)We’re looking for a System Engineer on behalf of our client to provide technical support across a broad range of infrastructure for their customers. This role is dedicated to supporting a large project focused on a construction client. Our client provides a wide range of services, including managed IT support, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and IT consulting. Their expertise spans multiple industries, including construction, mining, real estate, medical, not-for-profit, law, accounting, and finance. They have also been recognised multiple times in the CRN Fast 50 list. The RoleAs a System Engineer in this role, you'll be expected to work hands-on with a variety of technologies along with some personality traits including: Planning, configuring, and supporting on-prem Windows desktops and servers, including system rollouts and upgrades Administering and maintaining Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive), including user management Designing and managing Active Directory and Group Policy structures. Troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues (DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, packet capture) Deploying/managing virtual environments (Hyper-V or VMware) Backup and disaster recovery solutions Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate technical solutions clearly across all levels Supporting a large enterprise environment, primarily remote with some on-site work as needed What We’re Looking For 5+ years in either System / Support / Project Engineering or a related field. Strong background in third-line troubleshooting and service operations Strong knowledge of M365 environments, networking, and ticketing systems. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to support a fast-paced business environment.
