About the Role An established food and manufacturing business in Tasmania’s north-west is seeking a Health & Safety Lead to join its site team. Reporting to the Senior Safety Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving safety systems, coaching operational leaders, and driving proactive initiatives across a busy production facility. This is a hands-on, operational safety role embedded within the factory and working closely with shift managers, quality leads, and frontline teams. The site has a strong safety culture, modern processes, and a clear focus on continuous improvement and engagement. Key Responsibilities Support the implementation and improvement of site safety systems Lead and participate in risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations Coach line managers and operators on safe systems of work Coordinate safety committees and key risk area programs Contribute to injury prevention and return-to-work activities Support site compliance and upcoming ISO certification processes What’s on Offer Full-time role, Monday to Friday (with flexible start/finish) Base salary of $103,000 - $110,000 + Super + 10% bonus Relocation assistance and temporary accommodation available Supportive leadership, engaged teams, and a strong community environment Opportunity for long-term growth within a global business About You You’ll be an experienced WHS professional with a practical approach and the ability to build relationships across all levels of a manufacturing or industrial site. A Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety is essential, and previous exposure to food or FMCG manufacturing will be highly regarded.
