As the Electrical Technical Lead, you’ll be the go-to expert driving electrical excellence across a dynamic production environment - ensuring reliability, improving efficiency, and fostering a collaborative team culture.Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you’ll step into a role that has strong visibility and influence, working closely alongside mechanical, planning, and production stakeholders. This is an opportunity to lead a solid and tight-knit team of electricians who are passionate, reliable, and well respected within the wider business.Key Responsibilities: Act as a point of escalation and expertise for complex troubleshooting, line control, and automation issues. Build strong relationships with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability and reduce downtime. Support and mentor electricians while maintaining a strong floor presence. Liaise with suppliers and contribute to planning of maintenance windows, upgrades, and improvement initiatives. Assist in developing preventative maintenance strategies and champion safety-first thinking - particularly in automation and robotic handling processes. Work closely with a Senior Automation Specialist during the day shift to address and upskill in robotics and control systems. Ideal Candidate: Queensland Electrical License (required) Proven experience in manufacturing maintenance, ideally in food or FMCG environments. Hands-on knowledge of automation and control systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens). Strong people and communication skills – someone who thrives in a high-paced, team-oriented culture. Ability to navigate and manage reactive maintenance while contributing to long-term improvement strategies. A proactive and solutions-driven mindset with a collaborative approach to leadership.
