An established logistics and supply chain business is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to lead its Melbourne operations within a busy, time‑critical freight environment. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the day‑to‑day performance of a warehouse and associated logistics function, with accountability across safety, compliance, service delivery, cost control and team leadership. The role will suit an experienced operations leader who enjoys working in regulated environments and has a proven ability to improve performance, processes and culture. Key Responsibilities Lead daily warehouse operations including inbound, outbound, storage and dispatch activities Manage labour planning, workflow and resource allocation to meet service timeframes Ensure compliance with transport, security and workplace safety requirements Maintain audit readiness, procedures and operational documentation Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems and layout Monitor operational costs, productivity and performance outcomes Prepare operational and compliance reporting for senior leadership Lead, mentor and develop a diverse warehouse and operations team Act as the escalation point for operational or service issues Build strong relationships with internal teams and external service providers About You You are a hands‑on warehouse or logistics leader with experience managing complex operations in regulated or high‑volume environments. You will bring: Proven experience in warehouse, transport or logistics operations management Strong understanding of compliance, safety and operational governance Demonstrated people leadership capability in fast‑paced settings Commercial awareness, including cost control and operational reporting Confidence working with warehouse, transport or freight management systems A practical, solutions‑focused approach to continuous improvement Experience in freight forwarding, air or port‑adjacent logistics, or time‑sensitive supply chains will be highly regarded, though candidates from broader regulated warehousing backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
