Steph Dawson is a Senior Consultant in Sharp & Carter’s Finance & Accounting division, specialising in temporary and contract finance
recruitment across Melbourne. With five years at Sharp & Carter, Steph has built strong relationships with clients and candidates, partnering with organisations to find the right talent and supporting professionals through their next career move. She thrives on the fast-paced nature of temporary recruitment, where no two days are ever the same, and prides herself on being approachable, responsive, and genuinely invested in creating great outcomes for everyone involved.
Before moving into recruitment, Steph worked in sales for a global adventure tour company, where she developed a passion for connecting with people, building relationships, and (perhaps unsurprisingly) a love for travelling the world. Her time in the travel industry sparked her curiosity for new experiences and her belief that every opportunity is a chance to learn something new - values she brings into her approach to recruitment today.
Outside of work, Steph is lucky enough to call the Mornington Peninsula home, where she lives by the beach and makes the most of the coastal lifestyle. On her work-from-home days, you’ll often find her starting the morning with a cold ocean dip (yes, even in winter!). She’s also a firm believer that annual leave is there to be used, and she makes every effort to squeeze in a couple of overseas adventures each year - usually with the next trip already being planned before the current one has even finished.
