2IC to the Payroll Manager Richmond location with hybrid working Iconic Multinational brand The OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Lead to join a well-known, iconic brand. This role will see you leading a small payroll team of 5 while overseeing the delivery of accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll services in a high-volume environment. Their vibrant & modern office is based in the inner-city suburbs in Richmond with flexibility to work 2-3 days per week from home.In this role, you’ll take charge of the payroll function, guiding your team to meet deadlines, maintain compliance, and deliver exceptional service to the business. You’ll be hands-on in processing, while also focusing on team leadership, reporting, and process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Lead a small payroll team (5 direct reports), providing coaching, support, and regular performance feedback Oversee payroll operations for both Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legislation (approximately 8500 employees in total) Monitor and interpret awards, enterprise agreements, and leave entitlements Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and journal entries for month-end and year-end cycles Partner with internal stakeholders to identify efficiencies and streamline workflows Contribute to payroll-related projects and system enhancements About You Proven experience managing or supervising payroll in a large, multi-site business Strong knowledge of payroll requirements, including award interpretation Skilled in payroll reporting, reconciliations, and problem-solving Familiarity with large payroll systems Confident communicator with a collaborative, hands-on leadership style Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment What’s on Offer $122,000 + superannuation + 10% bonus Hybrid work model – 2-3 days from home Work in a modern, supportive, and high-energy environment Click the link below to apply online.
