Sharp and Carter are recruiting for an Accountant to join an established manufacturing business in Brisbane

Position 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position will see you preparing and reviewing Balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, End of month reporting to corporate office, GST and FBT Accounting and Reporting Preparation, assisting with weekly and monthly reporting, cash flow management and management of the day to day finance functions.

Key Responsibilities 
• Manage End of month/quarter process and reporting for the Group
• Support the Group Financial Controller in achieving reporting deadlines
• Assist in driving SOX compliance and continual improvements
• Support other finance roles and provide leave cover for the finance functions
• Responsibility for the General Ledger of the Group
• Assume the operations responsibility of the Financial Controller in their absence
• Lodgement of FBT and GST compliance and reporting
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ie. Auditors
• Mange the Balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly reporting/audit requirements
• Manage the Intercompany Loan process and balances
• Assist oversea Business Units

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
• 3-4 years + accounting experience 
• Previous experience with SAP
• Previous experience in commercial environment with exposure to month end
processes
• Management of team/finance functions would be advantageous
