About the Role
Reporting to a highly experienced Group Financial Controller, this Company Accountant position plays a central role in the financial operations of the group. You will be responsible for accurate and timely month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, WIP and P&L analysis, payroll oversight, tax and statutory compliance, cash flow forecasting, and year-end audit preparation.
The role also supervises two offshore team members (payroll/HR and accounting), partnering closely with Directors, GMs and Project Managers across the business. It’s a hands-on, broad and commercially connected role where your insights will directly influence business performance.

- Month-end journals, financial reporting & variance analysis
- WIP and project-related accounting
- Balance sheet integrity and intercompany reconciliations
- Oversight of payroll processing
- Cash flow forecasting
- GST, BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax & FBT
- Year-end audit management
- Stakeholder support across operations and projects
You're a CA/CPA qualified accountant with a solid grounding in all aspects of accounting, ideally gained in a project-based business. You enjoy structure and accuracy, but equally value working with the business, influencing outcomes, and improving processes.
