An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounting Lead to come on board on a permanent, full time basis. You will be heavily involved in the strategic direction of the business in a truly multi faceted role. 


Position Description:

With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounting Lead to join their team. You will report to the Finance & Risk Manager.  

With a focus on accounts receivables, your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
  • Oversee 8 employees (4 x Accounts Receivable Officer, 2 x Accounts Payable Officer and 2 x Assistant Accountants) 
  • Provide support for the day-to-day performance of the accounting team 
  • Timely reporting on accounts receivable and accounts payable activity 
  • Leading and acting as quality controller across all aspects of the accounting function to ensure compliance with policy, regulations and customer service 
  • Reviews of any debt write-offs
  • Ensure all assigned balance sheet reconciliations are kept clean 
  • Develop management reporting and KPI's
  • Facilitate close relationships with the team and focus on cohesion 
  • Analyse and provide accurate creditors and debtors reporting

The Ideal Candidate:


The successful applicant with have similar proven experience in an Accounting Lead role and have the following attributes: 
  • Experience in a management position
  • Proven capacity to both develop and execute change management strategy
  • A passionate and positive 'can do' attitude
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with all stakeholder 
  • First class communication and presentation attributes
  • High level interpersonal and time management skills
  • Attention to detail, initiative and ability to lead and motivate a team
