Based in Melbourne's South East, a global leader in their space - manufacturing and distribution. With operations in all states across Australia, our client is seeking a motivated & driven team player to permanently join their Finance Team in a position of Accounts Payable Officer. You will receive cross training for Accounts Receivable down the track (if you don't already posses this) and will work in a dynamic and successful team.



About the role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will be, but not limited to the following:


Accounts Payable

  • Day to day processing of the accounts payable function including high volume invoicing (This can be up to 200 per day), payments, approvals, reconciliations, etc.
  • Processing of invoices and credit card reconciliations (high volume)
  • Processing payment of invoices
  • Manage internal and external queries
  • Review of credit application request
  • Creating reports in Excel
  • Completing month end within the required deadlines


Ideal candidate

To be successful in this role you as a candidate will bring to the role:

  • Team player mindset
  • Strong experience within Accounts Payable in a high volume environment
  • background in manufacturing desired but not essential.
  • Experience with a large ERP system
  • have an enthusiastic and driven approach to work
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Able to work in an office 5 days a week
  • strong excel skills (vlookups and pivot tables)
  • Great communication skills
