About the Client

A brilliant opportunity presents for an experienced and high performing Accounts Payable Leader to join their team based in Melbourne's North. You'll play a crucial role in driving financial operations forward and making a significant impact on their success, on a full-time permanent basis.
Your Role & Responsibilities
With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to take ownership of the AP function and lead from the front. The role will include but not be limited to:
- Leading the end-to-end payables process, ensuring compliance & adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.
- Managing escalations & discrepancies, and providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Leading, coaching, and developing 2 x Accounts Payable Officers to foster a culture of excellence and compliance.
- Providing monthly reports and contributing to strategic financial planning & projects.
- Implement and maintain efficient and effective operating rhythms and mechanisms to ensure rigour across transactional processes.
- Building effective working relationships with all stakeholders and provide support as required.
- Streamlining processes and process improvement, with the intention of delivering savings and performance enhancements.
- Partner with and assist the wider finance team.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience in an Accounts Payable capacity within a large scale organisation, as well as the following attributes:
- Outstanding knowledge of best practice for AP & transactional finance
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective leadership and stakeholder management
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Passion and experience in developing and executing strategies which improve business procedures and performance
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
