This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join an industry-leading global business and manage the accounts payable function of the business. You will have 4 direct reports (3 team leaders onshore and 1 team leader offshore) and also assist with driving improvements within the accounts payable function. The company has exciting projects in the works over the next few years and fantastic career opportunities internally.
The business has a very friendly team culture, and provide a lot of support. They are currently working 2-3 days in the office, 2-3 days from home and are located in Western Sydney, with plenty of parking on-site.
The responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Director, the role will include:
- Managing the accounts payable function (with 4 AP Team Leaders) to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
- Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of supplier invoices and employee expense claims as well as maintenance of accurate records and reports
- Stakeholder management and business partnering
- Drive continual process improvement
- Assist with month-end closing and cash flow forecasts
- Reconciliation of bank and supplier reconciliation
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Vendor Master Data performing timely maintenance work as required
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Strong proven Accounts Payable management experience, with experience managing both onshore and offshore teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong month-end and year-end reporting experience
- Confidence with excel e.g. v-look ups and pivot tables
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
- A process improvement mindset and experience with process improvement and system improvement project.
