This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join an industry-leading national business and manage the accounts payable function of the business. The company is going through an exciting period of change and process improvement, and alongside managing the payables function you will be responsible in driving process improvements. With a long standing and respected name in the industry, you will be heavily involved in the strategic direction of the business in a truly multi faceted role! This is a rare opportunity to work close to home in Melbourne's West, in a full-time permanent role, with exciting & evolving long term business projects & plans! 

Position Description
With team fit and culture a priority, the business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead a medium sized team.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the role will include but not be limited to:

• Manage the Accounts Payable function, and oversee a team of 9 x Accounts Payable Officers
• Lead end to end accounts payable activities
• Facilitate training and up-skilling within the team 
• Optimise existing processes to achieve strategic goals whilst implement new strategies to increase efficiencies 
• Ensure invoices are processed and approved in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure payments are up to date and processed correctly
• Resolve complex & escalated AP issues
• Develop management reporting and KPI's
• Establish and maintain strong relationships across the business alongside external stakeholders
• Analyse and provide accurate reporting

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Accounts Payable Manager position, along with the following skills and attributes:

• First class communication and presentation attributes
• Proven capacity to both develop and execute change management strategy
• A passionate and positive 'can do' attitude
• High level interpersonal and time management skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to positive influence 
• Effective time management & organisational skills
