Our client, a highly respected industry leader, is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their team on an immediate basis. This hands-on role supporting with end-to-end accounts payable responsibilities and month-end closing tasks, as well as the day-to-day leadership and support of a small, high-performing AP team. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to take on a leadership role.
The Responsibilities:
This role will involve the following tasks:
- Full ownership of the accounts payable function and associated workflow management
- Manage the Expense system, adding new staff and monitoring card and personal expenses
- Leading, mentoring and developing team performance
- Performing month-end reconciliations
- Driving process improvement within the accounts payable function
- Maintain supplier accounts and reconcile supplier statements.
- Investigate any overdue invoices.
- Prepare AP related monthly balance sheet reconciliations and prepare weekly cash outflow forecase for supplier payments.
- Proven experience within an end-to-end accounts payable role for 5+ years.
- Experience managing / leading an accounts payable team.
- Strong experience with ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of month end and year end procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong month-end and year-end reporting experience
