Organisation Profile
Our client is a market leading organisation located in Hawthorn, who are at the forefront of their industry. Due to an internal promotion, they are searching for an Accounts Receivable Officer to join their friendly and supportive team on a permanent, full time basis.
Position Description
Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, and working as part of a team, your daily tasks will include
- Coordinating the prompt and accurate processing of all remittance from customers, and the following up of credit claims;
- Ensuring that customers invoices are paid within agreed trading terms;
- Calling customers to chase customer invoices remaining unpaid outside agreed trading terms;
- Following all account receivable policies and procedures;
- Maintain the accounts receivable system, including customer (Business Partner) details, record of receipts, filing systems and other relevant information to ensure that it is up to date and accurate;
- Follow up customers for missing remittances and other details;
- Process overseas customer receipts;
- Ensure that customer account applications are completed for all new customers;
- Maintenance of Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) registrations and credit insurance limits and claims;
- Processing of monthly customer rental and sale instalment invoices and other on-charges to customers;
- Reconciliation of the Accounts Receivable Ledger to the General Ledger;
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will have had proven experience in a prior Accounts Receivable Officer position along with the following attributes:
- High level numeracy and reconciliation skills, with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures
- Demonstrated intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas and functions
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Be honest, trustworthy, respectful, flexible, and possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
- Flexibility, ability and initiative to work within a continuous improvement environment.
