About the Role
As the Accounts Receivable Officer, you’ll play a key role within the Finance team, providing essential accounting support across a diverse service organisation. Reporting to the Transactions Team Leader, you’ll ensure accurate financial processing, support compliance requirements, and develop strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain invoicing schedules related to service agreements, funding, and rents (including CPI increases and contract variations).
- Raise and reconcile invoices, credit notes, and process client refunds.
- Manage daily receipting in Dynamics 365 and banking of cash/cheques.
- Prepare and submit service delivery records on the NDIA portal; validate and post NDIA extracts and remittances.
- Monitor outstanding invoices, debt management letters, and prepare ageing reports.
- Administer vendor contracts and corporate card processes in line with procurement policy.
- Assist with audits, year-end accounts, and general financial queries.
- Ensure all activities are delivered in line with organisational policies, compliance standards, and a strong commitment to client wellbeing and safety.
About You
You’re detail-focused, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You bring strong accounts receivable and administration skills, along with the ability to build trust and deliver excellent service.
Essential skills & experience:
- 2–3 years’ experience in accounts receivable/administration.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (pivot tables, data analysis).
- High accuracy and attention to detail in managing financial data.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing as part of a team.
- Understanding of system mapping and journal imports in Dynamics 365.
- Completion of required safety checks (Police Check, WWCC, right to work in Australia, valid Driver’s Licence).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar accounting software.
