The Role
Working closely with the Senior Finance Officer, this position plays a key role in supporting end-to-end finance, payroll and procurement operations. This role offers hands-on exposure, autonomy, and the chance to broaden your technical accounting skills within a high-performing and supportive team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily finance operations including month-end close processes and reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Manage finance queries and provide accurate advice to internal stakeholders
- Maintain the asset register and associated depreciation schedules
- Support payroll oversight and work with People & Culture to ensure accurate processing
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasting and variance reporting
- Prepare monthly close packs and contribute to management reporting
- Provide support for external audit requirements
- Deliver ad-hoc procurement and finance support as needed
You will be a proactive, detail-focused accounting professional who thrives in a diverse and hands-on finance role. You are confident communicating across an organisation, enjoy problem-solving, and can manage competing deadlines with ease. Ideally, you bring:
- Experience in finance functions including AP/AR, month-end and payroll support
- Strong organisational and analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and provide excellent service
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance or related discipline; CA/CPA qualified or working toward is desirable
