This is an exciting permanent opportunity to join a growing organisation based in Central Perth. Working within a close-knit finance team, this role is ideal for an ambitious Assistant Accountant who is looking to develop their technical accounting skills and grow their career in a stable, professional environment.
You will support the broader finance function across transactional and accounting responsibilities, gaining exposure to month-end processes, reporting, and core finance operations. This position would suit someone detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to progress within accounting.
The responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- End-to-end Accounts Payable processing
- End-to-end Accounts Receivable management
- Daily bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end close and reporting
- Journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
- Supporting payroll and finance operations as required
- Ad hoc accounting and finance support across the team
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Assistant Accountant/Accounts role
- Studying toward (or intending to commence) CPA or CA qualification
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- ERP system experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Competitive salary package: $85k–$100k + super (DOE)
