Our client is a well-known national business who are market leaders within their industry. Due to an internal promotion, our client has created a new role/opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and supportive team. You will work within the finance accounting team and report to the Finance Manager.

About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial accounting processes
- Processing journals & GL uploads
- Reconciliation - debtors, creditors & stock, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Daily cashflow
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Assist in providing commentaries for variances between actual, forecast and rolling budgets
- Manage relationships and handle queries with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with continuous improvements within the financial accounting space
- Experience within an assistant accountant role (ideally a minimum of 2-3 years of experience)
- Degree qualified
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Strong debit and credit knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Wanting to work for a large company and grow their career within the company over the long-term
- Strong excel skills (confident with v-look ups and pivot tables)
- Studying CA / CPA or completed
