Sharp and Carter are partnering with a QLD State Government Department to source a AV Project Officer with significant experience with Audio Visual systems, excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail. This is an initial 6 month contract with a 6 month extension on offer and potential internal career opportunities into either Project Management or Technical Analyst roles.
 
As the AV Project Officer, you will: 

• Undertake Quality Assurance Testing of newly completed AV installations across Queensland.
• Undertake minor AV and IT installation works at locations across QLD
• Provide training in the use of updated AV systems to end user staff.
• Assist in the preparation of technical documentation for upcoming projects based upon the established design briefs and the approved program plan. The documentation provides essential information as part of the Request for Quote provided to AV Suppliers.
• Review and endorse AV Supplier solution proposals, bills of materials, technical specifications, and building layout plans to ensure project deliverables are consistent and to the required quality standard.
• Provide technical advice to AV Suppliers as the AV systems they have newly installed are commissioned and brought onto the departments infrastructure.
• Undertake investigations and identify solutions to new and emerging technical challenges using subject matter expertise to create recommendations and designs for approval.
• Ensure correct management and storage of financial and project documentation in accordance with government and local policies.
• Successfully undertake a range of assigned tasks in an environment of competing priorities, ensuring effective communications are maintained and expectations managed

About You:
 
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience, such as installation or engineering design, or qualifications in audio visual technology will be highly regarded.
 
Industry qualifications and/or experience in the following key technologies will also be highly regarded for this position.

• Cisco video conferencing hardware and software
• AMX control systems
• Biamp Digital Signal Processor configuration and design
• AMX SVSI Networked Video
• Networking and IP technologies

This role has significant travel requirements across QLD for the initiation of projects, end user training, hand over of projects and quality assurance testing.
