Founded in 2013, La Tortilleria (pronounced ‘La-Tor-tia-ria’) is Australia’s biggest corn bakery producing authentic Mexican corn tortillas and tortilla chips from Australian ingredients. Their artisan products are used by Australia’s top chefs and the best Mexican restaurants, and the retail range sold in independent grocery stores across Australia and Asia-Pacific. The products are showcased at their iconic restaurant in Melbourne serving up authentic Mexican street food for almost 10 years.

La Tortilleria make their award-winning tortillas from scratch using the same traditional method indigenous Mexicans have used for millennia. They cook, soak overnight and stone mill, wholegrain Australian-grown corn, bake their tortillas fresh. This is corn tortillas as they should be: natural, preservative free, gluten free, local, non-GMO, vegan and contain only two ingredients: corn & sea salt.
  
About the role and what will you actually be doing?
  • Develop an annual marketing calendar for the wholesale business and manage and execute each campaign to support brand awareness and sales.
  • Measure and analyse campaigns and marketing results regularly – including sales analysis where relevant.
  • Maintain up-to-date marketing resources and channel-specific product content.
  • Assist in creating a digital strategy to optimize all digital elements of the business.
  • Define and oversee the delivery of social media strategy.
  • Manage and track the marketing budget for those projects to ensure spend is within allocation.
  • Continuously educate internal and external stakeholders about our products and brand.- Create strategic partnerships to assist brand growth.
  • Track and evaluate activities against agreed targets, making recommendations to improve and innovate wherever possible.
  • Build and nurture local community partnerships.
  • Work closely with internal creative, design, and digital teams. 
  • Looking after all new product launches.

  • Ideally you have experience working in a dynamic, fast growth brand (preferably targeting the youth market).
  • You’re resourceful and a problem solver that uses their commerciality for maximum impact.
  • A strong passion for innovation and a working within an agile environment.
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills are an absolute must in this fun and fast paced role.
  • An adaptable and flexible nature and ability to influence key stakeholders to enjoy positive business outcomes
