About the Role We are seeking a highly capable Portfolio Performance Analyst to support high-quality performance reporting and insights across a complex portfolio environment. This role plays a critical part in enabling informed decision-making through accurate reporting, robust analysis, and clear communication to senior and executive stakeholders.

Reporting to the Director, Portfolio Management Office, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to consolidate data, maintain performance dashboards, and continuously improve reporting processes.

Key Deliverables
  • Accurate and timely monthly and quarterly portfolio performance reports
  • Maintenance and enhancement of portfolio performance dashboards and KPI tracking tools
  • Consolidation and reconciliation of data inputs across multiple business areas
  • Analysis and contribution to portfolio insights and recommendations for decision-making
  • Improved consistency, efficiency, and quality of reporting processes and outputs
  • Other duties as required, consistent with the responsibilities of the role
Key Capabilities and Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights
  • Sound understanding of portfolio, program, and project performance measurement principles
  • Experience in data analysis, performance reporting, and dashboard development
  • Proficiency in data and reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive-level briefings and reports
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in infrastructure environments is highly regarded

Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio performance, program management, or investment reporting within a government or large infrastructure environment
  • Proven experience preparing executive-level reporting and supporting governance decision-making
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting systems
  • Knowledge of Queensland Government investment, assurance, and reporting processes
Mandatory Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in performance reporting, data analysis, or portfolio/program management support in a government or complex organisational environment
  • Proficiency in reporting systems, data management, and visualisation tools
  • Knowledge of Queensland Government investment, reporting, and governance processes
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualifications in business, economics, data analytics, project or portfolio management
    (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, MoP, PMO certifications)
  • Experience in capital investment and infrastructure reporting
  • Strong understanding of P3M frameworks and portfolio governance
