About the Role
As Buyer for the Impulse Sweet Confectionery category – the largest within the business – you’ll take full ownership of day-to-day operations and drive growth across this high-performing portfolio. Working closely with global FMCG partners including Nestlé, Mondelez, and Mars, you’ll balance customer needs with commercial targets in a fast-paced, travel retail environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and managing supplier relationships to optimise buying opportunities
- Identifying and developing new business areas aligned with strategic growth plans
- Conducting market analysis to stay ahead of trends and competitor activity
- Reviewing historical data to inform decisions on sales, profit, stock-turn, and markdowns
- Regularly analysing performance metrics and adjusting merchandise plans accordingly
- Maintaining strong relationships with store teams through regular visits and communication
You've worked either for, or with Tier 1 suppliers within confectionary. You are commercially minded and have a passion for bringing new ideas and creative thinking to the table. You thrive in dynamic environments and bring a strategic mindset to supplier negotiations and product planning.
- FMCG experience highly desirable working for them or with them
