As part of this investment, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Capital Engineering Manager to join their leadership team at one of their flagship sites in Regional South Australia.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Site Lead, this role is responsible for developing, leading, and delivering the capital project program, driving engineering innovation and technical excellence to support site growth and continuous improvement.
This is a key leadership position for a proactive and strategic engineer seeking to take ownership of significant capital investment and influence the long term engineering direction of a major FMCG manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of site capital projects, ensuring outcomes meet safety, cost, quality, and timeline objectives.
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and corporate engineering teams to develop technical solutions that enable world-class manufacturing.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and capital planning processes, ensuring project execution aligns with business objectives.
- Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and best-practice engineering standards across the site.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and capability development within the site engineering function.
- Identify and implement cost-effective productivity improvements that enhance site performance, sustainability, and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (Engineers Australia recognised).
- Proven experience in capital project management within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of food, beverage, or dairy processing, including automation and packaging systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large budgets and cross-functional teams within fast-paced, regulated environments.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic mindset and genuine passion for delivering sustainable, long-term engineering improvements.
