You'll become part of a tight-knit cardiac diagnostics unit made up of a skilled nursing cohort, three Grade 3 EP/Interventional technologists, and an experienced Interventional Technologist — all led by an engaged and supportive Nurse Unit Manager. About the Role
You will provide advanced technical and clinical support across a broad range of cardiac procedures, including:
Interventional Cardiology & Angiography
- Supporting diagnostic coronary angiography and PCI
- Hemodynamic monitoring, advanced ECG interpretation & procedural charting
- TAVI, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closures and other complex structural cases
- Full technical setup, intra-procedural support & monitoring
- Supporting WPW, SVT, RFA and PFA cases
- Hands-on use of Claris, EnSite and Opal mapping systems
- Troubleshooting specialist EP equipment during procedures
- Inpatient & outpatient device clinics
- Technical support during device implants
- Device checks across all major brands
Roster & Hours
- Operational hours: 7:30am-8:00pm, Monday to Friday
- 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shift options for full-time staff
- Balanced roster of early/late shifts
- On-call: 1 night per week + 1 weekend every 5-6 weeks
- On-call supports emergency STEMI activations
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Biomedical Science, or equivalent
- Postgraduate EP qualifications (CEPIA, IBHRE) desirable
- Minimum 12 months EP experience
- Strong ECG knowledge, cardiac anatomy & hemodynamics understanding
- Confident with EP mapping systems (Claris preferred)
- Competent in device checks across all major manufacturers
- Excellent communication, calm under pressure, strong team focus
- High attention to detail & commitment to patient-centred care
