Why This Role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Miele’s fastest-growing and most strategically important portfolios – Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), covering iconic categories such as Floorcare and Coffee, as well as New Business Development. With strong net sales and year-on-year growth, you’ll be in the driver’s seat of a high-visibility portfolio. Backed by a sizable marketing investment and working cross-functionally with the best in the business, this is your chance to shape the future of Miele’s SDA category in both Australia and New Zealand.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the Small Domestic Appliances category strategy across positioning, pricing, product lifecycle and channel mix.
- Work closely with Global to manage new product introductions through Stage-Gate innovation processes.
- Partner with Sales, Brand, Digital, and CRM teams to create high-impact campaigns and activations.
- Use analytics and insights to influence decisions around margin, product mix and revenue management.
- Collaborate with Brand, Media and Training teams to ensure integrated storytelling across all platforms.
- Support NZ counterparts with category planning and execution.
- Experience in marketing, brand or product/category marketing/portfolio management within retail or FMCG environments.
- Ideally strong knowledge of P&L’s, pricing strategy and revenue/margin optimisation.
- A proactive communicator who thrives in cross-functional teams.
- Analytical thinker with commercial acumen and a passion for innovation.
- Comfortable managing budgets and influencing at all levels.
- Extensive experience in marketing, brand or category or product management within consumer goods or appliances.
- Strong commercial acumen and portfolio and revenue management skills.
- Analytical thinking and a passion for delivering customer-centric solutions.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to influence across functions and senior stakeholders.
