About the Position

Reporting to a supportive Board of Directors, and supported by an experienced executive team, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads the development and delivery of Transmax’s strategy with a focus on leading technology innovation and enhancing profit, market positioning and expansion. Supporting this approach is a strong focus on governance and operating frameworks across both public and private sector customers and domestic and international markets.

As CEO, you will lead a diverse and committed team of professionals who are collectively inspired by the mission to improve people’s lives by providing industry-leading intelligent transport solutions. This will be achieved by developing a vision for the STREAMS and Next-Gen platforms, driving a culture of innovation and developing strong partnerships across government and industry customers and stakeholders. In addition, the CEO will identify market growth opportunities through new and existing products and services and the extension of existing supply contracts.

Essential to your success will be the development and implementation of appropriate and efficient policies and procedures, which are consistent with contemporary governance and risk management principles and your ability to lead, monitor and evaluate organisational performance against business objectives. The CEO will model leadership behaviours based on authenticity and empathy to drive staff engagement and seek to inspire the workforce to create a culture of performance and accountability.

About the Person

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Executive (or similar) with demonstrable leadership success who has a proven ability to lift employee engagement and organisational capability through collaboration and human centricity. Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and broad business management skills are considered essential together with a track record of driving product and service innovation in a comparable organisation that delivers services to the transport, logistics, public infrastructure and/or technology sectors.

Significant experience managing and negotiating complex contracts and effective stakeholder engagement and management skills across government and large commercial customers is highly desirable.  Success in growing new and sustainable revenue streams in both domestic and international markets in a prudent risk-based environment will be viewed favourably.
