About the Position
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and supports the delivery of City Parklands’ Corporate Strategy, based around four key pillars – optimising existing parklands; expanding our portfolio; capitalising on our expertise; and growing our capability.

The COO plays a pivotal strategic leadership role building a healthy and engaged culture, driving efficiencies and integration across the organisation, and fostering collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

This role in partnership with the team will set the strategic direction for the Asset Services Division, as well as leading and supporting the teams that maintain and operate the individual parklands. Additionally, this role is accountable for the management of the asset and project governance framework, the annual capital works program, and the operational efficiency of the areas under City Parklands' care.

About the Person
As an experienced senior leader, you will be able to demonstrate success leading and optimising strategic operations in a similar project/asset focussed environment. Ideally with experience working in complex statutory frameworks or similar, you will be well versed in asset portfolio management, change management, financial forecasting, and budget management. You will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to lead multi-functional teams and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills will be essential to effectively engage with complex stakeholder groups.
