The Opportunity 

Reporting to the Chief General Counsel, you will lead the risk, compliance, audit and assurance function for the health plan management business. You’ll ensure risks are identified early, managed effectively and communicated clearly, while building a mature, proactive risk culture across all levels of the organisation.  This is a strategic, hands-on role where you’ll shape frameworks, uplift processes and partner closely with operational leaders to embed strong controls and support high-quality service delivery.

The role
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of risk, audit and compliance professionals.
  • Build and deliver comprehensive audit and assurance plans that meet ISO and registration standards.
  • Oversee external audit activity and drive business-wide improvement initiatives.
  • Enhance the risk management framework and ensure proactive risk identification and mitigation.
  • Identify and assess financial and non-financial risks across the full plan management lifecycle.
  • Partner with enterprise compliance teams to stay ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Lead investigations into operational incidents and establish preventative actions.
  • Produce clear, insightful risk reporting for senior leadership and executive committees.
  • Build strong, influential relationships across the business.
About You

You're a seasoned risk leader who thrives on building capability, shaping culture and influencing senior decision-makers. You combine technical expertise with strong emotional intelligence, and you know how to bring people on the journey.

You’ll bring:
  • 10+ years’ experience in risk, compliance and/or audit within health, insurance or community services organisation
  • Significant Enterprise risk experience
  • Deep experience managing financial and non-financial risks.
  • A collaborative, people-first leadership style.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and executive teams
