This position will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders to manage the full contract lifecycle across both pre-award and post-award phases.
About the role
- Review and negotiate client and contractor contract terms and conditions, identifying commercial risks and advising project teams accordingly.
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to senior management and project teams across multiple major projects.
- Support the preparation and delivery of projects through contract negotiations, risk assessment, and commercial strategy.
- Assist with the management of contract variations, claims, disputes, delays, and disruption claims.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure contractual rights, obligations, and notice periods are understood and adhered to.
- Liaise with legal, insurance, and project stakeholders to resolve contractual issues and support project delivery.
- Support contract administration processes and contribute to continuous improvement of contracting procedures and frameworks.
- Lead or participate in commercial meetings, project reviews, and steering committee sessions.
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance to ensure contract compliance and commercial outcomes.
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Contracts Management or Senior Contract Administration within construction, infrastructure, or heavy industrya environments.
- Strong working knowledge of contract law, contract negotiation, and commercial risk management.
- Experience managing multiple contract forms within a contracting environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Law, Business or similar.
- Highly organised with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially focused with the ability to work independently and support multiple projects simultaneously.
