Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, your responsibilities will include planning and performance analysis, store and brand profitability assessment and insight, working capital management monitoring and value creation. You will also provide affective finance business partnering support multiple stakeholders and be significantly involved in the day-to-day operations of the business to support it in delivering its strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include but be limited to the following.
- Responsible for preparing analysis and insights regarding business performance, in particular store and brand profitability, understanding the impact of volume, price and mix on margin performance.
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager in business partnering with key functional leads
- Responsible for continuously refining the monthly reporting
- Provide support for the development, maintenance, and interpretation of a business-wide performance scorecard
- Preparation of deeply informed performance commentary
- Constantly drive continuous improvement where possible
- Active participation in group-wide projects as required
- Other key internal matters as required.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in an accounting or business background. You will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and aspire to complete your CPA/CA or have already done so. You will have exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to demonstrate initiative and have good attention to detail. You will aspire to want to join a down to earth, fun and dynamic finance team. Advanced financial modelling skills and retail experience will be viewed favorably.
