Reporting to the GM / Head of Commercial Finance, the role plays a key part in linking finance and operations.
A well-established and growing national group is seeking a capable and commercially minded finance expert to join their Queensland sites. This role suits someone with a strong manufacturing / commercial base who is now looking to broaden their impact to work closely with operations, supply chain and senior leadership to improve performance and decision-making.
This role will combine month-end responsibilities with project work, reporting, and business partnering across inventory, procurement, and sales functions. The scope is broad and offers visibility across the business - key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysis
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Partner with manufacturing and commercial teams to deliver insights that improve operational efficiency and revenue growth.
- Work collaboratively with the accounting and FP&A teams to deliver timely, accurate and insightful financial reports and analysis.
- Lead cost analysis across production inputs and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Support pricing strategies, product profitability analysis, and customer deal evaluations.
- Partner with key managers on business performance
- Support system improvements, data integrity, and reporting efficiency
- CA/CPA qualification with proven experience in a commercial or management accounting role
- Ideally background in product-based environments
- Strong Excel and financial systems experience (SAP preferred)
- Good communication skills and an interest in operational drivers of performance
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to engage across different business units
