The Commercial Finance Manager plays a critical role supporting the commercial performance of a leading global FMCG business. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing & Operations teams, this role provides financial insight and strategic decision support across pricing, trade spend, marketing investment and new product development.
Working closely with the Head of Commercial Finance, you will help optimise revenue, evaluate investment decisions and drive improved profitability across customers and brands. The role combines strong analytical capability with commercial business partnering to ensure the organisation has the insights required to make effective strategic and operational decisions.
Duties
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to support strategic commercial decision making
• Provide financial leadership supporting revenue, gross margin and EBIT targets
• Deliver pricing analysis, trade spend optimisation and promotional ROI evaluations
• Develop customer and brand profitability analysis to guide investment decisions
• Evaluate and review business cases for new product development (NPD) initiatives
• Support the annual budget, forecasting and long-range planning processes
• Provide financial inputs into Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles
• Deliver monthly financial reporting, variance analysis and commercial insights to stakeholders
• Build standardised financial models and templates for pricing, ROI and investment evaluation
• Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights for senior leadership
• Ensure governance and integrity across pricing, rebates, customer terms and product master data
• Support ad hoc commercial analysis, modelling and strategic projects
- CA / CPA qualified
• 6–8+ years’ experience in commercial finance within FMCG or similar
• Strong experience in trade spend and commercial investment evaluation
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering capability
• Advanced excel and strong systems capability
