The Role

A great opportunity has arisen for a data driven Commercial Analyst that will have a clear goal of converting financial data into easy-to-use BI dashboards and reports. You will be a passionate and driven analyst with an ability to effectively communicate your work to stakeholders across sales, marketing and finance. Reporting into an FP&A manager you will also work as part of a larger finance team. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Support of existing and creation of Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business reporting requirements.
• Conduct analysis of product line and category performance.
• Support strategic initiatives aimed at ensuring revenue and profit growth.
• Partner closely with stakeholders in marketing, sales and finance teams. Building relevant dashboards for each team as required.
• Train users to effectively utilise BI dashboards to produce reports.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve business performance
• Identify trends and insights from data including key components such as over/under achievement vs plan.
• Adhoc requests.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, Data science or a related field.
• Advanced experience with BI reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Exposure to retail, FMCG, manufacturing or wholesale industries.
• Strong financial understanding and analytical skills.
• Experience in data analytics and financial modelling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with writing SQL queries or working with databases.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience in translating financial results into commercial and operational performance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
