About the role:
Reporting to the CFO this role is crucial in supporting key commercial business decisions and providing the senior leadership team with analysis and insights on brand and customer profitability. You will partner closely with operational stakeholders and be in the detail of financial modelling. This role requires you to be forward thinking and a driver of improvement to enhance the current commercial reporting pack.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Support Pricing Management: Calculate and reconcile rebates, royalties, and commissions. Provide regular reporting to Management and ensure accurate accruals.
  • Handle Reporting and Analysis: Prepare sales and margin analyses, including volume, price, and mix. Present insights and recommendations to enhance profitability. Produce various reports required for month-end, forecasts, and budgeting. Prepare management presentations and detailed analyses on sales performance, margins, and inventory.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain team on financial matters related to inventory, COGs, purchasing, and shipping. Assist in cash flow management and connect insights to profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
  • Support business leaders with informed decision-making on growth and profitability. Develop financial models to aid future initiatives or M&A activities.
  • Lead initiatives to rebuild financial models for simplification and automation. Collaborate with executive leadership team (ELT) to improve and automate sales reporting. Drive process improvements and efficiencies in various areas, including sales, margins, foreign exchange (FX), COGs, and inventory.
  
Skills and Experience:
Tertiary qualification and qualified CPA/CA. Industry exposure to Wholesale, Retail or Manufacturing or other product-based industry. You have a minimum of 4 years in a Commercial Analyst or FBP position with demonstrated hands on process improvement and stakeholder management skills. You will have strong financial modelling and analysis skills and be self-motivated to drive efficiency and improvement.
