Our client, one of Australia's leading not for profits is looking for their next Communications & PR Officer.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the National Communications team to drive national media and communications activity through business as usual and proactive opportunities.
What does the day-to-day look like?
- Develop and deliver high-impact media and communications strategies.
- Craft compelling media releases, pitches, key messages and campaign copy.
- Provide expert briefing and media training to national spokespeople.
- Translate complex health information into clear, accessible and culturally safe communications.
- Build relationships with journalists, stakeholders and people impacted by cancer who share their stories.
- Monitor, measure and report on communications performance and impact.
I am looking for a communications professional who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You will bring:
- 5+ years' experience in communications or media relations (agency or in-house).
- Outstanding writing, storytelling and media engagement skills.
- A passion for health equity and improving outcomes for Australians.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
- Excellent judgement, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

Initially, the role will be a 12-month contract, but there is a strong chance the term will be extended.
Salary range for the position is $85,000-$100,000+super - plus salary sacrificing.
