A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a strong technical Company Accountant to join a respected listed property/ real estate group who are growing exponentially. Taking a hands-on approach, this role will support the CFO and Financial Controller conducting financial reports, month end, statutory & tax reporting, and delivering superior financial and management reports to contribute to the Group annual business plans, profit targets and strategic objectives.

The responsibilities
The main duties include:
- Assist with end of month processes and reports including credit card reconciliations
- Participation in the budget and forecast processes
- Preparation of Financial Statement (Special Purpose and General Purpose) as required to meet statutory and other reporting deadlines
- Preparation of Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements
- Maintain full accounting records and JV entities including preparation of workpapers and reconciliations monthly or quarterly
- Liaison with external service providers including financial and compliance auditors, banks and property managers
- Assist the CEO, CFO and Finance Manager and other team members as required
- Preparing monthly management papers, including commentary on results for the Board following approval of monthly result.
- Continuous improvement and streamlining of processes and systems to promote improved control and reporting efficiency.
- Budgeting and forecasting
The successful applicant will have
- Qualified CPA or CA
- Experience working in a real estate and/or property business
- Business services background working with real estate / property clients (ideal but not essential)
- Statutory Accounts preparation in medium or large business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoys dynamic and small team environments
- Ability to develop lasting and authentic working relationships at all levels
- High attention to detail and a a self-starter
