The Role
As the Corporate Accountant, your role will see you act as key partner within the finance team and support the Financial Controller
You will collaborate with senior leaders and operational stakeholders. This is a permanent full-time position.
Your duties will include:
- Perform day to day Financial reporting for the corporate finance team and be a subject matter expert.
- Perform day to day account processing for corporate accounts, including general journals, bank reconciliations, and lease accounting.
- Manage all financial aspects for various business units.
- Preparation of monthly GL reconciliations and financial statements, including credit card reconciliations.
- Manage & Maintain Fixed-Asset register.
- Assist in maintaining financial and cash flow forecast updates to ensure sufficient cash requirement.
- Preparation of the quarterly BAS/IAS and annual FBT return.
- Support the Financial Controller and business in adhoc queries, projects and other related duties as required.
- Prepare quarterly BAS statements and annual Income Tax & FBT returns.
- Liaise with the external accountants on financial reporting and auditing.
- Assisting the finance and admin team with training and support where required.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations, systems, and reporting efficiency; and stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in finance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
Your Profile
You will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial. Key skills include:
- Experience in a large, complex environment.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in a similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data from multiple sources and provide strategic insights.
