Our client is looking for a motivated Credit & Collections Officer to jump on board immediately and assist during a busy period with an influx of work! This role is a rare & exciting opportunity to work close to home in Melbourne's West, commencing in new your next challenge as soon as possible!
About the Role
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable / Credit Manager and working within a supportive & collaborative team environment, you will be responsible for:
- Following up on outstanding debt & overdue payments with customers efficiently and politely
- Account reconciliations
- Allocating and receipting incoming payments
- Clearing back logs and resolving issues that may arise around work flow
- Establishing payment plans and arrangements with customers
- Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide support to the finance team where required
Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar Collections based role as well as the following attributes:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- A keen willingness to hit the ground running and assist with tackling an influx of work
- Personable nature and ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem solving and issue resolution capabilities
- Excellent problem solving skills with a pro-active approach
