About the Opportunity
A new opportunity available for an experienced and enthusiastic Credit Manager to join a friendly and stable team in the heart of Sydney CBD. This role is managing a team of 2 Credit Officers and they are looking for a candidate who is driven, with a strong and upbeat personality to drive change and process improvement in the Credit department.

Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Manage and lead a team of debt collectors to achieve the organisation's goals for debt recovery
• Develop and implement strategies to increase debt collection rates and reduce outstanding debts
• Maintain control of aging and outstanding debts in line with company policy
• Report on the status of debtors, including yearly bad debt write offs
• Communicate with clients, customers, and other stakeholders regarding the status of outstanding debts and the debt recovery process, negotiating repayment plans or taking legal action to recover debts if necessary
• Prepare timely reports on debt recovery activities and provide regular updates to senior management
• Builds solid relationships across all departments at various levels

The successful applicant:

• Previous experience managing a Credit team or a Senior Credit Officer looking to step up
• Strong knowledge of debt recovery practices and regulations, such as the FDCPA and state-specific regulations
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
• Solid fundamental accounting knowledge for reporting purposes
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate Excel Skills
