About the Role
Reporting to the Credit Manager – Collections, this role forms part of a high-performing credit team responsible for the management of debtor accounts and collection activity. The Credit Officer will work closely with branch and finance teams to ensure effective collections, maintain accurate ledgers, and support overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct collection activities for outstanding and overdue accounts within established timeframes.
- Manage debtor ledgers, including accurate reconciliation and payment allocations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve account queries and ensure effective communication.
- Identify potential credit risks and escalate in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain compliance with relevant credit and privacy legislation.
- Upbeat, friendly and can build relationships easily.
- Previous experience in credit or collections within a large or complex organisation.
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with strong Excel and data management capability.
- Exposure to agribusiness or finance sectors will be viewed favourably.
