Our client is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to play a critical role in safeguarding their organisation’s information, information systems and computer networks from cyber threats. This position involves a blend of security management, governance, technology, and physical security capabilities. This is a 4 month initial contract.
Required Experience and Capabilities:
- 3-5 years of experience in implementing, maintaining, and working with information security management system that are aligned to or certified with ISO 27001 (Essential)
- 3-5 years of cyber security engineering experience in implementing and managing cyber security tools like end point solutions, firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection solutions, vulnerability assessment solutions, and security information and event management solutions. (Essential)
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain corrective and preventive measures. Knowledge of patch management, with the ability to deploy patches promptly while considering business impact (Essential)
- Provide proficient support as part of incident management including the use of Mitre Att&ck framework or similar frameworks for incident analysis (Essential)
- Good written and verbal skills, coupled with an ability to translate complex technical concepts to business aligned outcomes (Essential)
- Experience in implementing, maintaining, or working with Microsoft Azure, Sentinel and Microsoft 365 Defender covering device, identity, data, and application categories. Familiarity with Microsoft security licensing (Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of cyber tools, techniques, methodologies, and solution implementation techniques including knowledge of security considerations for non-Microsoft cloud solutions (Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of national and international standards like ISO 27001/ISO 27002, NIST, ACSC ISM/ACSC Essential Eight (Desirable)
- A demonstrated understanding of modern cyber security frameworks, standards, strategies, and tools including knowledge of zero trust frameworks (Desirable)
- Cyber security working experience across technical and business domains including cyber security operations, automation, and response tools (Desirable)
- Tertiary qualification in computer science or related disciplines preferred.
- Beneficial to have (or in the process of attaining) at least one of the below:
- o Microsoft: Expert or Associate level certifications
- o ISC2: CISSP, SSCP
- o ISACA: CISA, CRISC, CISM, CGEIT, CSX-P
- o SANS GIAC: GCED, GCIA, GDSA, GCCC, GDAT, GISP
