The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take full ownership of day-to-day distribution center operations. As Distribution Centre Manager, you’ll lead a team across warehouse, inventory and transport functions—ensuring service levels are met, safety standards are upheld, and the operation runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and dispatch.
- Lead, coach and manage a team of supervisors and warehouse staff.
- Ensure compliance with WHS standards and company procedures.
- Monitor KPIs around DIFOT, stock accuracy, labour efficiency, and cost control.
- Collaborate with transport and customer service teams to ensure service targets are achieved.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse processes.
- Manage supplier and customer relationships at the operational level.
- Support site audits and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
- Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution center, within a 3PL or FMCG environment.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to engage and develop teams.
- A solid understanding of warehouse systems, inventory management, and transport coordination.
- Confident in managing compliance, safety and quality standards.
- Comfortable in a hands-on leadership role, with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
