Reporting to the Site Manager, the DC Operations Manager will lead and develop a multi-skilled team to deliver exceptional customer service and fulfilment outcomes nationally. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within a highly automated facility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Safety leadership and building a strong safety-first culture
- Overseeing daily operations to achieve performance and service outcomes
- Managing budgets and driving cost-effective workflows
- Coordinating site activities including building compliance, maintenance, loss prevention and security
- Leading significant change initiatives as the site continues to evolve
- Building strong partnerships with stakeholders, contractors, carriers, and authorities
- Delivering operational excellence across warehousing, fulfilment, and transport activities
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Strong leadership experience in large-scale operational environments
- A proven ability to inspire, coach and drive high-performing teams
- Expertise in warehousing, online fulfilment, transport management and automation
- Experience optimising automated equipment such as AMR, shuttle and GTP systems (highly regarded)
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of improving productivity and reducing costs
- Depth of experience in labour management, workforce planning and continuous improvement
- Understanding of container management, customs, quarantine, and freight forwarding processes
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or Logistics (preferred)
