They present an opportunity for an experienced and committed Accounts Receivable Officer to join the team and assist the Managers and support the accounts receivable team.

About the role  
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Receivable Officer will play a pivotal role within the accounts team and actively inherit the responsibility for areas of Accounts Receivable, inclusive ensuring all debts are collected in a timely manner. This role is an end-to-end function in a stand-alone capacity. Your responsibilities would include but not limited to:
  • Ensure all new customers are setup correctly with appropriate terms and authorised limit
  • Ensure any changes to limits or terms are processed in a timely manner
  • Collection in line with customer terms
  • All notes to be applied to Oracle file
  • Ensure Invoices and Statements are sent according to policy
  • Escalate delinquent accounts to Finance manager as per standard operating procedure
  • Distribute “On Hold” report daily
  • Prepare and distribute top 10 problem debtors weekly
  • All accounts with unapplied credits to be explained
  • Ensure customer requirements are met to guarantee timely payment
  • Check completeness and T&C’s have been agreed to
  • All others in line with Matrix and reviewed by Finance Manager

The successful candidate will possess a team first attitude and the ability to be adaptive in an environment of frequent changes and innovation, as well as impeccable interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships. Additionally, the successful candidate will have sound business understanding and place a premium on building professional and personal relationships across departments.

Candidates with experience in a similar role and exposure to Debt Collection, AP, AR, Reconciliations, Microsoft Word and Excel will be highly sought after.
