The Opportunity A Queensland Government department is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join their Enterprise Architecture team, supporting both major initiatives and BAU architecture services.
This role will play a key part in ensuring ICT solutions align with business strategy, whole-of-government direction, and enterprise architecture standards.
You will work across multiple programs and projects, providing architecture leadership, governance support, and strategic advice to business and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop enterprise and project architecture artefacts including roadmaps, blueprints and target state architectures
  • Provide advice on alignment between business strategy, transformation initiatives and technology direction
  • Support architecture governance, reviews and assurance processes
  • Produce high-quality briefs, submissions, presentations and decision-support materials
  • Contribute to ICT portfolio roadmaps and strategic planning activities
  • Work closely with business leaders, solution architects, technical teams and security architects
  • Provide whole-of-government aligned architecture advice and recommendations
  • Support continuous improvement of business processes and ICT capability
About You You will bring strong Enterprise Architecture experience in large, complex environments and be confident working with senior stakeholders across business and technology domains.
Mandatory Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years Enterprise Architecture experience in large, complex organisations
  • Current TOGAF Certification (Foundation / Practitioner or equivalent)
  • Experience working within architecture governance and assurance processes
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise artefacts (target states, roadmaps, standards, principles)
  • Strong experience influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong written communication skills (executive briefs, submissions, presentations)
  • Experience aligning architecture with security, risk, privacy and compliance requirements
Highly Desirable
  • Queensland Government or Australian public sector experience
  • Experience contributing to ICT portfolio or strategic ICT roadmaps
  • Experience with EA modelling frameworks and tools (ArchiMate, BPMN, Orbus or similar)
  • Experience contributing to Enterprise Architecture capability uplift
