Sharp & Carter is proud to partner with a highly regarded funeral services provider in the Ballina area to appoint a Funeral Arranger.

This is a meaningful opportunity to join a close-knit, values-led team known for its strong culture, genuine care, and commitment to supporting families during significant life moments.

The Opportunity

You will work Monday to Friday, 9am–5:00pm, with one week on call per month. Additional overtime is regularly available, creating strong earning potential.

No prior funeral industry experience is required — full training and ongoing support are provided.

You will be supported through structured onboarding and hands-on training, with the opportunity to learn at your own pace. You will never be placed into situations without support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide empathetic, professional support to families
  • Meet with families to arrange funeral services in line with individual wishes, beliefs and cultural traditions
  • Coordinate all aspects of funeral services including transfers, venues, celebrants, coffins, vehicles, flowers, music, livestreaming and press notices
  • Liaise with clergy, florists, newspapers and other external service providers
  • Complete all funeral documentation, contracts and payment processing accurately and in line with company standards
  • Clearly explain costs and payment terms
  • Maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute positively to a supportive, team-based culture
  • Assist with day-to-day operational tasks as required
About You

This role will suit someone from a service-driven background, such as administration, hospitality, retail, community services or customer-facing roles.

You will bring:

  • High attention to detail
  • Comfort working in an environment involving death and grief
  • A current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Willingness to obtain (or already hold) Justice of the Peace
